Drift Technologies LLC ("Drift," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Drift application and related services (the "Service").
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
1.1 Information You Provide
(a) Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address and password (stored in hashed form).
(b) Transaction Information: We collect information about wallet loads, subscription payments, and withdrawals you initiate through the Service, including amounts, dates, and associated payment instrument details (last 4 digits only).
(c) Support Communications: If you contact us for support, we collect the content of your communications.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
(a) Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including screens viewed, features used, and actions taken.
(b) Device Information: We may collect device type, operating system, and browser type for security and optimization purposes.
1.3 Information from Third Parties
(a) Stripe: When you load your wallet or make payments, Stripe provides us with transaction confirmations, payment method tokens, and Treasury account identifiers. We do not store your full card number or bank account details.
(b) Clearbit: We use Clearbit to retrieve company names and logos when you search for subscriptions. No personal data is transmitted to Clearbit.
We use the information we collect to:
(a) Create and manage your Drift account;
(b) Process wallet loads, subscription payments, and withdrawals;
(c) Issue and manage your virtual payment cards through Stripe;
(d) Provide customer support and respond to inquiries;
(e) Send transactional notifications related to your account;
(f) Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity;
(g) Comply with applicable legal obligations;
(h) Improve and optimize the Service.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your personal information for advertising purposes.
3.1 Service Providers.
We share information with third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Service, including:
(a) Stripe, Inc. — payment processing, virtual card issuance, and Treasury services. Stripe acts as a data processor under applicable privacy law.
(b) Render — cloud infrastructure and hosting.
(c) Vercel — web application hosting.
We require all service providers to maintain appropriate security measures and to use your information only as directed by Drift.
3.2 Legal Requirements. We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Drift, our users, or the public.
3.3 Business Transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of Drift's assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such transfer and any choices you may have.
3.4 We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for their own marketing purposes.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We retain transaction records for a minimum of 7 years to comply with applicable financial regulations. You may request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting support@drift-subscriptions.com, subject to our legal retention obligations.
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect your information, including:
(a) Encryption of data in transit using TLS;
(b) Hashed storage of passwords using industry-standard algorithms;
(c) Access controls limiting employee access to user data;
(d) Regular security assessments.
While we take reasonable precautions, no security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.
6.1 Access and Correction. You may access and update your account information through the Settings section of the Service.
6.2 Account Deletion. You may request deletion of your account by contacting support@drift-subscriptions.com. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal information subject to our legal retention obligations.
6.3 Communications. You may opt out of non-transactional communications by contacting support@drift-subscriptions.com. We will continue to send you transactional notifications essential to the operation of your account.
6.4 Electronic Communications (E-Sign Consent). By creating a Drift account and agreeing to these terms, you consent to receive all disclosures, notices, agreements, and communications from Drift electronically, including by email or through the Service. Electronic records and disclosures have the same legal effect as paper records under the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-Sign Act, 15 U.S.C. § 7001). You may withdraw this consent at any time by contacting support@drift-subscriptions.com, though withdrawal may limit your ability to use the Service.
6.5 California Residents. If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. Drift does not sell personal information. To exercise your CCPA rights, contact support@drift-subscriptions.com.
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services, including subscription merchant websites. Drift is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through the Service.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, by providing notice through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
